About the Vienna Little League:
Vienna Little League (VLL) brings little league baseball to over a thousand boys and girls ages 5 to 12 every year.
The overall rules of Little League International (LLI) designate VLL within District 4 of Virgina, which also includes Alexandria, Arlington, Great Falls, McLean, and Reston. However, VLL elects its own Board of Directors from among the volunteers each year to govern according to local rules, and to approve team managers.

Leagues within the VLL are divided between major and minor, with the minor leagues (typically ages 5 through 9) concentrating on skill development and instruction and the majors (restricted to players aged 10 through 12) focused on providing the full Little League gameplay experience.
Registration, fees, and forms of identification are required for all players, and those players aged 9 to 12 must try out each year (unless already drafted for the Majors) to qualify for major-league or All-Star play.
Players must provide their own gloves and shoes, but are provided with equipment depending on the level of play. Minor league players must also bring their own white baseball pants, but are given a cap and a shirt. Major league players receive a full uniform.
All player, parents, volunteers and spectators are expected to observe the Six Pillars of Character:
- Trustworthiness
- Respect
- Responsibility
- Fairness
- Caring
- Good Citizenship
